After having climbed Monte Gambarogno, not even doing it on purpose exactly 2 years ago, today I return to the area to climb Monte Covreto and 2 other peaks in the vicinity.
First I reach the village of Indemini where there is a car park, just above the houses, for about fifteen cars. I then start to walk along the path that goes up to the Oratory of Sant'Anna, after which I turn left and continue until I reach Monte Paglione (Paión on the new national maps) where I finally come out of the woods. Having passed the summit, which is actually a long ridge, I descend some twenty metres in height towards the south-west and then start climbing again until I reach the summit of Monte Covreto, the highest point of the excursion. The view of the mountains around Lago Maggiore is very beautiful, as is the view of the Maggia river delta.
After a break I set off again for the last peak of the day, Monte Corbaro, which is just over the Italian border. In 10 minutes I reach it and stop to eat because it is now midday.
For the return journey, I follow the direct path that leads to Monte Paglione, after which I descend again to the Oratory of Sant'Anna. I finally return to Indemini where this walk ends.

Water (Automatic translation in english)

There is a fountain near the start, above Indemini, and then another at the Oratorio di Sant'Anna.
