Today, wanting to take a quiet trip, I decide to go to Lake Ravina, located between Piotta and Airolo, in the Leventina Valley. This is the ideal time to visit it, since it is a temporary lake and is not always full. In this period, thanks to the rain of the past few days, it is at its maximum height.
I start by reaching the village of Giof and from there I walk along the road that goes up to the Alpe di Ravina. Shortly before reaching the alp, on the left, there is the deviation for the Ravina Lake, which at the beginning crosses a large expanse of wild spinach. However, it then enters cleaner pastures, where the path is always clearly visible, until it reaches the fork at an altitude of 1765 metres. Here you must follow the right-hand path and, after a short climb, you finally reach the lake.
The lake is very beautiful and I decide to walk around it to take some pictures. There is no marked path and you have to disentangle yourself through the rhododendrons and stones, especially on its eastern side.
After visiting the lake, I return to the Alpe di Ravina and at that point, to change the itinerary a little, I decide to go down towards Segna. Up to Costone there are no problems then, from that place to the Bosco di Segna, the path is no longer official and in some places it disappears a bit. Nothing problematic, however. Arrived in Segna, I return again on the road and easily go down to Giof.
The water in this excursion is present in Giof, where there are several fountains, and then again near the bridge of Camperitt at the point quoted 1462 meters.
Then there is still a fountain with a tap near the crossroads at an altitude of 1765.
On the way back I found another fountain at the crossroads of Costone (at an altitude of 1585 meters) and finally another one at the crossroads of Segna (at an altitude of 1497 meters).
