In this excursion we start from the town of Petrolzo, where there are no parking lots, and continue to Usin. Here we take the path that goes up to Mataron and we reach the Pairolo Hut in a short time.
The path we follow south of the Mataron is sometimes not very visible and a bit steep. So I advise you to avoid it and to follow the road north of the summit or climb up the Mataron.
From the hut we go down to the West, first through large pastures and then through the woods, up to Cioascio.
Here is the Baita del Luca, a small hut belonging to the CAS Ticino and available on request.
In Cioascio there are also some really beautiful houses with stone walls.
Finally we take the path that goes to the north and return to Petrolzo.
