The aim of today's excursion is to climb up to the Dötra Hut on snowshoes.
In the village of Piera, immediately after Camperio, there are some parking spaces where you can park your car, but they were all already occupied. I therefore continued for about 300 metres to Bigòria where there is a large car park swept by snow.
The first part of the walk then turned onto the road, to go back to the point where the road up to Dötra begins. At that point I put on my snowshoes and began to climb along a rather beaten path. At an altitude of almost 1,400 metres, I come across a path that climbs to the left and I decide to take it in order to shorten the walk a little. In this way, I arrive on the western side of Oncedo and continue climbing up through the woods. The path is quite beautiful and well-trodden, even if in some places there are some steep and icy sections where you have to continue by sticking the front tips of your snowshoes into the ice. Once out of the woods, after a final climb, you reach the Dötra Hut.
After the lunch break, I start walking again following the road to Anvéuda. From here on, snowshoes are no longer necessary because the road is very well-beaten and therefore they can be removed. Once past the village, I start to descend towards Marzanéi and finally arrive back at Piera.
